In today’s run-of-the-mill life, there is no such person in the world who does not suffer from stress. Stress is good as well as bad. Nowadays everyone knows what is stress, it is because everyone is experiencing stress. Under stress, no one can sit at one place for a long time. Thoughts start racing in the mind.
Our feelings are not under our control. When there is a state of stress, the human body feels as if it is tied in a knot. People feel excited but they do not know where to direct their energy. Finds difficulty in concentrating. Stress is a kind of push or pull that prompts a person to react physically and mentally to various changes, events, etc.
People experience stress in different ways and for different reasons. They react differently but reaction is based on people’s perception about an event or situation. If someone sees a situation negatively, he or she will likely feel distressed, overwhelmed, oppressed, or out of control.
In case of good stress, the person moves towards achieving his goal and keeps trying until he achieves the set goal. Positive state of stress acts like an antidote because it engages focused energy for body and mind. On the other hand, in a negative state of stress, we start facing many types of problems and gradually diseases start occurring.
Stress: Why does this happen
The situations and pressures that cause stress are known as stressors. We usually think of stressors as being negative, such as an exhausting work schedule or a bad relationship. However, anything that puts high demands on you can be stressful. This includes positive events such as getting married, buying a house, going to college, or receiving a promotion.
Stress can occur both externally and internally, or even spontaneously, when people worry excessively about something that may or may not happen, or have irrational, pessimistic views about life.
Common external causes include relationship disturbances, hectic work schedule, financial problems and major changes in life like death of close one, divorce, separation, loss of job, injury or illness. On the other hand, the internal causes include Unrealistic view of life, pessimism, negative thinking, wrong expectations and inability to accept uncertainty of life.
